Booking a Spanish Language Holiday with Adiós Travel
- The booking will be made, by the student, by way of either:
- filling in the reservation form on the Adiós Travel website or;
- by sending an e-mail with all the necessary details to info@adios-travel.com. - We then send student the invoice for revision, once agreed;
- The student sends us a confirmation e-mail stating he/she has read and agreed with the invoice and the terms and conditions of Adiós Travel;
- Only then the reservation is definite and the student is bound to pay the total amount of the reservation made by us.
- Last minute booking; an administration fee of $ 25* is charged for reservations made within 2 weeks or shorter prior to the departure date.
Students and Courses
- All courses start on Monday and run from Mondays to Fridays. Unless the first Monday is a Public Holiday; courses will then start on Tuesday.
- Group courses; some schools only offer (mini) group classes when two or more students book together and follow classes together.
- In other cases when there are no other students of the same level to form a group with, you will receive the same mount of monetary worth of classes. This can mean, for example, that you receive 3 classes of private hours instead of the booked 4 hours of group classes.
- National holidays: on holidays there are generally no classes; any missed days of classes will not be restituted to the student. Only in some schools, the lessons will be retaken on another day when the students agree. Other schools offer an activity or excursion instead of Spanish classes.
- Misconduct: Our partner schools reserve the right to refuse an enrolment or to expel a student if, at their discretion, his or her conduct is unsatisfactory or could be detrimental to the normal running of the school. All supplementary expenses, are payable by the student or his/her parents.
Accommodation
- Accommodation is usually allocated from the Sunday before a course starts until the Saturday after it finishes. Extra nights can be reserved according to availability and for an additional fee.
- Shared apartments provide basic self-catering accommodation for students. Sometimes students will have the option of sharing with either local people or international students (this will be stated when applicable).
- Host Families are carefully chosen by our language schools and can be a married couple or single person, with or without children/and or pets.
- In cases of preferences, allergies, special diets, student must inform Adiós Travel at the time of booking so that we can make the proper reservations.
- School Residences can be bigger apartments or houses accommodating around 10-15 students. They often also have catering facilities and other amenities, such as a television room or an internet cafe.
- Shared rooms normally imply two or sometimes three students sharing a room, with separate beds. Some schools only allow two students traveling together to share a room.
- The students or their legal guardians are responsible for any losses or damage that occurred during their stay.
Prices and Programs
- The noted package prices and programs are per person, based on prices and programs as were known by us in January 2007. Because of this a student can't make a claim to price or program changes of other parties of which Adiós Travel is not notified.
- Adiós Travel has the right to change package prices due to tax increases, events beyond our control or governmental actions.
- Changes in booking by student; we charge $ 30* for every change made by student after accepting the original invoice and language package.
- Obvious mistakes in the program don't commit Adiós Travel.
Changes in Programs
- Cancellation by Adiós Travel:
By notification of a cancellation the agreement is dissolved. Adiós Travel will at the same time offer an equivalent alternative course of more or less the same sum. If this offer is not accepted the whole or partly paid sum will be paid back immediately to the student.
Payment
- Payments: Within 14 days after returning the invoice to Adiós Travel with the note that the invoice is accepted, the total amount has to be added to the bank account of Adiós Travel.
- In case of an early reservation the total amount has to be added to our account at least 6 weeks prior to the departure date.
- Adiós Travel has the right to cancel a reservation when the student hasn't paid in time.
Travel information provided by Adiós Travel
- Relevant travel information will be sent to student by e-mail, only after the total amount of the invoice has been paid to Adiós Travel.
Accuracy of information provided
- Although every effort is constantly made to ensure that the information contained on our websites and travel information is accurate, Adiós Travel does not accept any responsibility for errors or emissions. We are dependent on the information supplied to us by our schools, students and the authorities abroad, who are at liberty to make changes at any time. We therefore ask that you discuss with us any details which are of particular importance to you before you make your booking.
Travel and transfer
- Our prices do not include flights. Students must make their own travel arrangements. We will, of course, be pleased to provide students with detailed advice on the best route to our schools.
- However, we do offer airport transfers in most locations, sometimes for an extra fee. We must receive full flight details at least 7 days before students are due to arrive in their country of choice.
Passport, visa and vaccinations
- Students are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, such as a valid passport and visa
- It is mandatory that you familiarise yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable in the countries you are visiting.
- You are responsible for all entry exit health and any other documents required by laws regulations orders demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of Adiós Travel or that of your travel agent both parties can not be held liable for any loss or expense due to the failure to comply with the above.
- Costs made by the student resulting from not possessing the necessary documents will never be refunded by Adiós Travel.
Insurance
- (Medical) Insurance: students are not covered for any accidents, loss of personal property, illnesses. We advice everyone to get a fully comprehensive insurance before traveling.
Cancellation by students
- We reserve the right to charge a minimum cancellation fee of US $ 65* per person.
- Cancellation of the trip by the student has to be sent by e-mail.
- The e-mail date of the cancellation is the date used for the percentage of the cancellation costs.
- Up to 56 days prior to departure: 10 % of the total sum.
- 56 till 42 days prior to departure: 30% of the total sum.
- 42 till 28 days prior to departure: 50 % of the total sum
- 28 till 14 days prior to departure: 75% of the total sum
- 14 till 7 days prior to departure : 90 % of the total sum
- 7 days prior to departure till the departure day : 100% of the total sum/If a cancellation takes place after the starting date of your course there will be no refund.
Liability
- Adiós Travel concludes agreements as an intermediary for courses, accommodation, and transports. The execution of every part is the responsibility and risk of the language school, host families and transport organization. In case of problems Adiós Travel will, as an intermediary, try to solve the problem but will not take final responsibility.
- Adiós Travel will not assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, cost or expenses arising out of personal injury, accidents or death, loss, damage or delay of baggage or other property, or delay, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, especially if such loss results from any of the following: The act of omission of any party other than Adiós Travel or its employees; Your failure to follow instructions including but not limited to airport departure times, baggage handling, and check-in and check-out times; Cancellation or change for any reason in the travel services offered. Written notice or any claim against Adiós Travel must be received no later than fourteen (14) days after your return from your trip.
- Force Majeure: Adiós Travel cannot be held liable for any delay, loss of personal belongings, injury, accident, mortality, damage, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment or frustration, either mental or physical, owing to a force majeure, that is to say, an unforeseeable event such as, but not limited to, the following: any unjustifiable or negligent act or omission on behalf of a service provider or an employee thereof; any illness, theft, trade dispute, mechanical breakdown, quarantine, war, terrorism, government constraints, civil unrest, poor weather conditions, closing or poor state of repair of an access road, or other factors over which no reasonable control can be exercised by either Adiós Travel .
CONSUMER CLAIMS
- Should you encounter any problems on your language holiday it is always faster and easier to try and solve it directly with the Spanish Language School.
- Always let the Spanish Language School know when services are not satisfactory. They will try their best and make all necessary changes.
- At the same time you should inform Adiós Travel of the same complaint.
